Thanks to my parents I started learning painting and Chinese calligraphy at an early age outside school. I love putting all the available colour into my work, and the approach suggested by the professor of developing colou with black and white photos has interested me most. Abstraction and 3D objects can be said to be what I fear more. But on entering university I have the chance to explore further, especially on starting out ceramics which could train me in the above two areas. And the Chinese medium courses available in university has also allowed me to understand paper itself and the magic of using a single brush in different approaches. In the upcoming pieces I hope to combine pottery with traditional 2D media in a meaningful way.
